ABOUT & CREDITS
What's Ezra Orr Astronomics?
Ezra Orr Astronomics (EOA) is a passion-fueled astronomy initiative dedicated to making space science feel accessible, engaging, and—as we describe it—astronishing (yes, that's astronomy + astonishing) for everyone, especially those just beginning their journey into the stars. Built on a deep passion for the universe, EOA brings the wonders of space down to Earth through beginner-friendly content, clear explanations, and a welcoming approach to complex topics.
At EOA, the goal is to remove the barriers that often make astronomy feel distant or intimidating. Through stargazing tips, telescope how-tos, deep dives into celestial events, and explorations of astronomical concepts, EOA offers a wide range of resources designed to spark curiosity and build confidence—no prior knowledge required.
Whether you're wondering what planets are visible tonight, how galaxies form, or what to look for through your first telescope, EOA is here to guide and inspire. It’s more than just a collection of facts—it's a growing space for learning, wonder, and connection to the cosmos.
Ezra Orr Astronomics invites everyone to look up, ask questions, and discover just how much the universe has to offer.

Our Name & Logo
Ezra Orr Astronomics (EOA) was founded by Ezra Orr, a young Jewish space enthusiast with a passion for the stars. The name “Ezra Orr Astronomics” originally came from a detailed space map created in 2023—our first major project besides stargazing—which featured a simple logo and the name added just for fun in the corner: a planet with rings icon beside the words "Ezra Orr Astronomics". Even though "Astronomics" isn’t technically proper English, the name stuck—and soon became our identity, our website, and our team name.
The original logo was lost and rediscovered several times on the internet in the early days, and over time, it evolved into the new blue version we use today on our header. Below, you’ll find the timeline of our logo’s journey through the years:

About This Website
This website was created to help people explore astronomy—stars, planets, space maps, and more—in a way that’s clear, accurate, and meaningful. It’s a place to learn, use tools, and discover the universe without distractions or confusion. Many popular astronomy sites use names of idols for planets and dwarf planets, which goes against Torah law, so we built EOA to offer the same knowledge—and more—using only true and respectful names.
Though EOA is a private project, it’s full of detailed research, sky study, and passion for space. We built this site to open up what we’ve learned and share it with anyone who’s curious about the cosmos.
EOA is a large and growing website filled with tools, resources, and content for anyone interested in astronomy. There’s a lot to explore—including full pages on the solar system and every planet, detailed star maps, constellations, and star clusters like the Pleiades. You'll also find media content, a page about the Moon, and even ShabtAI, our own AI chatbot made to help with astronomy questions. And that’s just the beginning—there are many more pages and features we couldn’t even fit in the main header. You can find them anytime using the search bar at the top of the site.
As mentioned earlier, we created this website to share astronomy clearly and truthfully. We spent much of 2024 trying to build earlier versions—through trial, error, and a lot of experimenting—until we finally completed and published this version in 2025. It’s now open to everyone. However, since the site is still new, it may not show up on Google yet, so if you like it, we highly recommend bookmarking it or saving the link—you probably don’t want to lose it!
There’s also a Group page where astronomers and space enthusiasts can post pictures, chat, and share discoveries with one another.
And one last note—if you come across an image that’s unavailable, it will be shown using our default placeholder: our telescope on a wooden chair, with messy papers and a pink garbage can in the background. You can see an example of it above in the timeline.

EOA thanks the following people, tools, and organizations for their help, support, inspiration, and contributions to this project:

Hashem – With heartfelt thanks to Hashem, the Creator of the universe, whose endless wisdom and beauty are revealed through the stars, the planets, and the vastness of the heavens. Every part of this project is a reflection of the wonder and order He placed in creation, and it is only through His help that any of it was possible!
Aba, Mama, and family – Thank you for your constant love, support, and encouragement. Your belief in me, through every challenge and step of this journey, helped make this project possible and meaningful. You also gave me my telescope and camera, supporting the start of my astrophotography and making the stars look even closer.
To all our website visitors (including you!) – Thank you for taking the time to explore, learn, and wonder with us. Your curiosity and interest are what make sharing the universe so meaningful.
